Tour Tool does nothing?

I am trying out the demo and can not find a tourial on 1.8. I have followed an older LU tutorial on youtube but the tour tool does nothing at all.

I have tried seraching the forums for keywords like does not work, does nothing, how to, ALWAYS including "tour tool" but it says I have used words "too common".

Any help is greatly appericated.

Hi Dan,

The most common problem is having not entered your Registration Key (correctly) to activate LightUp.
Probably simplest to select the menu Tools->LightUp->Reset Registration Key and enter your Registration Key again.

Be sure you cut'n'paste exactly your key with no extra space before or after as its pretty picky.

Next, open the Ruby console (menu Window->Ruby console) and create some simple geometry and run Tourtool. If there are problems you should a message on the console.

Just FYI, the next version of LightUp is much less terse when there is a problem with your Key. Currently with v1.8, it often fails silently.

key is correct and still nothing.

I do not know how to use the ruby console. I wrote a lot more, but my message was put into a draft for some reason and I do not know where to find it on this forum.

Go to "User Control Panel" tab (Just under "Board Index at top left)

Click on "Manage drafts"
