error on startup

It looks like the language file lightup.strings might be missing.

LightUp defaults to English which has no lightup.strings file - with the harmless side-effect the strings are not translated.

What locale to you have set for SketchUp?

I have the same broblem... it wont work on Sketchup 7 and either on Skechup 6.

Hi,

It turned out that the PC was too old to run LightUp. The "Error Loading" message is the unfortunate result (and has been fixed in Development version).

What processor do you in your PC you're testing LightUp with?

I am using AMD athlon 2.1Ghz +3000... it is quite old... But it is really could be problem?

Yes, LightUp makes extensive use of "SSE2" math for better performance.

All CPU processors today have this - but on older processors, they may not support SSE2. And unfortunately, Athlon does not support SSE2 math.

It does seem rather obvious from Adam's reply that yes, there is a 'chance or way': get a computer with a modern processor that supports SSE2!
