Retail license expired
If you find your LightUp Retail license says it has expired, the simplest thing to do is login using your purchase account, go to Downloads and click on "Upgrade & Buy", then from the menu of products choose:
Maintainance build of..
..to get a new installer AND a new RegKey. You'll need to run the installer, start SketchUp and enter your new RegKey.
(If you login and are not offered the Maintainance build, double check you're using the account with which you purchased LightUp.)

Does 2.7 qualify for the maintenance build for pre-12-31-2012 license holders? If so, how is it downloaded? I only see the pay or demo options options.

Yes, if you login with the account with which you purchased, you'll be offered the Maintanence build - which is currently at v2.7a

Re: Retail license expired
Hello Adam,
I read the contract of purchase and I do not know details about the duration of the license. Is it an annual license that I bought or that it is not limited?
It will soon be one year since I Light UP and I do not use it for clients, reason: lack of practice and experience. I want to continue the practice, but buy the software each year for personal use is not profitable for me.
Thank you for giving me more details on the license.
Greetings!
Ludovic

Re: Retail license expired
Hi,
LightUp Licenses purchased before January 1, 2013 are perpetual for the major version you purchased. ie v1.x, v2.x There is an upgrade cost for major releases.
LightUp licenses purchased on or after January 1, 2013 are the new annual license with all upgrades free during your license period.

Re: Retail license expired
If i decide to upgrade to the 3.0, will my license become annual instead of perpetual? I purchased mine on sept 2011.
How does annual license work, do i have to pay a license renewal fee every year?

Re: Retail license expired
Hi -
I purchased my license on 22.01.13, but now have a 'retail license expired' message when trying to use Light-Up. I have downloaded and installed the most recent upgrade - could this be the source of the problem? I have also tried the suggested method to download the 'maintenance build' but find no option to do so on that page. Please help.

Hi,
At any time you can get the latest Installer for your Annual license by logging in, go to Downloads and at the bottom of the page entering your RegKey.
NB The default install location is C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Google SketchUp 8. If you are running SU2013, you'll want to amend the install location to where you installed SU2013.
(For licenses purchased prior to 01.01.2013, you need to click on the Buy or Upgrade button and choose "Maintainance build..")
